Who We Are

Ardent offers a small company feel, with big company results. As learning consultants, we power our clients’ workforce transformations through custom learning and performance solutions.

Our three decades of success is due to Ardent’s tenacious team who embody client services in all we do; we are driven, flexible, and highly skilled. We’re always on the lookout for innovative, curious, and passionate people who can help us continue to support our clients and achieve our goals.

And we’re growing! Currently, we’re looking for a Contract Technical Analyst (1099) to join our extended team. You will be responsible for leading the strategic implementation of a new LMS — partnering with internal teams to understand and prepare migration from the client’s current LMS and setting the strategic direction for the best certification management strategies.

This is a long-term contract position with a high-growth, innovative global tech company. The expectation is that candidates are able to accommodate a hybrid work environment, including 3 days each week in an office location near Surprise, AZ with the other 2 days being remote. There will be occasional travel to meet with team members in another office location in Santa Clara Valley, CA. The rate for this particular role is $55/hour, which will ultimately take into account candidates' level of experience, education, and geographic location. There is not a variable compensation element associated with this role.

We’re excited to connect with candidates who align with our values and the qualifications outlined below.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Examine the current capabilities of the new LMS and define future features and functional requirements to drive business results
  • Act as a strategic partner and technical resource to the Content Development and Certification teams toward the optimal new LMS configuration strategy; support the creation/documentation of new certification strategies. Strategies will include topics of:
    • Reconciling data sources as LMS data migrates from the LMS system to other downstream data sources
    • Assisting with transformation of historical data as data is migrated from old to new LMS systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize learning needs and business requirements and translate them into technical specifications to support an LMS transition and migration
  • Manage the LMS configuration, administration, maintenance, and security, ensuring the content remains secure, and the system is up-to-date, reliable, and compliant with the company’s policies and standards
  • Identify key performance indicators and draft reports across Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation
  • Define suggested systems and processes to scale LMS administration
  • Perform data analysis and reporting on the LMS usage, performance, and feedback using various tools and methods such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, etc.; provide insights and recommendations for improvements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, system specifications, and other technical reports
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and other learning technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the LMS and learning technology space
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new LMS features and functionality
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Education, Computer Science, Technology or related field, or equivalent years of work experience
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in a Technical Analyst or similiar role, preferably in the LMS or learning technology space
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of such collaboration tools as iWork and Confluence
  • Proven experience with learning technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in product management
  • Working knowledge of development technologies and approaches
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders while effectively managing time, cost and scope
  • Deep analytical skills to recognize opportunities for technical solutions to solve business problems
  • Curious, self-driven and innovative mind who is willing to look for out-of-the-box solutions and think creatively around solutions for large-scale problems
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages is a plus
