And we’re growing! Currently, we’re looking for an Inside Sales Consultant who will be a key member of our Sales team and will play an important role in achieving our revenue goals. This individual will be responsible for proactively identifying prospects through cold calling, emailing and social media channels, as well as following up from inbound leads.  Your role will be, in addition to the proactive outreach, to then qualify these prospects by asking the right questions around budget and need based on what Ardent can offer.  From there, you’ll book meetings for our team once you’ve qualified the prospect as a true opportunity.  Since this is a high outbound activity role, you’ll rely on your strong organizational skills to take notes and maintain these contacts in HubSpot (our CRM) so that a member of our Sales team can quickly pick up from where you’ve left off.  You’ll also be responsible for conducting research on prospects and organizations that our Sales team is looking to pursue.  Lastly, you’ll provide well-rounded hands-on project support for our Sales & Marketing team as needed. 

This role is designed for someone who is comfortable making dozens of cold calls/emails per day, generating interest around Ardent’s services, and qualifying prospects that results in closing new business.  An ideal candidate is early on in their Sales career and has an interest in learning and growing as a learning/sales consultant. We're considering candidates nationally, but East Coast hours are preferred; there is opportunity for this role to be fully remote.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll become an expert on Ardent’s services in order to present a strong value proposition and enable the conversion of prospects into clients
  • Reaching out to new prospects through cold calls, cold emails and other social media tools such as LinkedIn, in addition to responding to inbound leads
  • Pursue connections with key business decision makers, identify the needs of the organization, and effectively position the value proposition of Ardent
  • Conduct needs-based phone and virtual sales calls with key managers and senior-level executives
  • Nurture the relationships with prospects while determining the learning needs for their organizations
  • Conduct research on prospects, organizations, and key business decision makers for our Sales team and provide proper follow up
  • Provide project support as needed for our Sales and Marketing team
  • Document all sales activity and opportunities in our CRM, Hubspot
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and client analyses
  • Support marketing efforts designed to enable sales activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams to stay current on business offerings
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Business, or equivalent years of experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working in inside sales and customer service
  • Energy and desire to make numerous connections (emails, phone calls) daily through outbound efforts
  • Experience using LinkedIn or other social media channels to generate sales interest preferred
  • Interest in Professional Services and/or Learning and Development industry preferred
  • Ability to build strong personal relationships with prospects, customers and partners
  • 'Hunter' mentality in seeking out new business
  • Uses intuition and experience to effectively market the company’s services
  • Proven experience delighting customers and sales prospects
  • Prior experience working with CRM systems; Hubspot experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact with clients, employees and vendors at all levels
